Who is it for?
Next Generation Rail is attended by 200 of the brightest PhD students, early-career researchers, young rail professionals and apprentices, in order to promote interaction between tomorrow's rail leaders and educators.
Why Should I attend?
The Conference will offer valuable training and learning opportunities to enhance your skills and support your career progression. The programme includes a choice of technical site visits, a series of interactive workshops led by innovation experts and lots of networking and team building activities. These include the Next Generation Rail Dinner on the evening of Tuesday 27th June.
Site Visits in Doncaster Rail Cluster...
Mention Doncaster around the world and the chances are that people will think railways. The very first locomotive works were established in the heart of the town centre in 1853 by the Great Northern Railway, transforming Doncaster from a peaceful Georgian market town into an engineering superpower. Doncaster is moving into a very exciting phase of development. With major investments and an ever increasing rail cluster of international organisations locating in the area, it’s easy to see why Doncaster is a great place to visit.
In partnership with Business Doncaster, Next Generation Rail site visits will include options to visit:
- Hitachi Rail Europe
- The College for High-Speed Rail
- Cementation Skanska
- Wabtec Rail Limited
