High Speed Railways are of broad and current interest in Britain right now, particularly in Birmingham, which is set to be the heart of the High Speed 2 railway network.
In this talk, Professor Felix Schmid, Former Director of Education at the Birmingham Centre for Railway Research and Education (BCRRE) will explain the concepts and nature of High Speed Railway operations. Current situations and different approaches to High Speed Railway planning around the world will be looked at along with major components required to implement them.
