Railway Children is an international charity that supports and protects children across the UK, India and East Africa who have been forced to leave homes filled with poverty, abuse, violence and neglect. Young Rail Professionals are proud to support Railway Children as our charity of choice.
Between the 22nd February and the 3rd March 2019 Railway Children supporters will undertake an epic cycling journey, exploring India’s Golden Triangle and travelling from Delhi to Agra to Jaipur. The route includes a stop at the Taj Mahal, a visit to a tiger sanctuary and a chance to see the vibrant towns and villages of Rajasthan.
Also on the agenda is a visit to a live project; not only will participants raise vital funds for Railway Children through sponsorship, they’ll also be able to see first-hand how that money saves children from a life on the street.
Railway Children are currently looking for volunteers for this event. Accommodation, equipment and local guides have all been arranged by the charity to make sure that the challenge goes off without a hitch.
We’d love for as many of our members of possible to support this worthy cause! For more details or to register your interest, see the Railway Children event here.
