The Wales branch of Young Rail Professionals officially launched on 8th August with a summer barbeque in Cardiff. The launch was appropriately held at Tramshed, the redeveloped former tram depot in west Cardiff, located just a stone’s throw from Canton rail depot.
YRP Wales’ first chair Liam Worrow and national vice-chair Mohanad Ismail welcomed over 30 colleagues, representing a wide range of ages and roles from Transport for Wales, TfW Rail Services, Network Rail and Panasonic.
We’re delighted and grateful for such a strong turnout for the very first event. The only disappointment was the arrival of some typical Welsh weather towards the end of the evening which forced everyone inside! Diolch yn fawr to the new committee, who have worked hard to set the branch up from scratch and a deliver a successful launch event. Ardderchog!
