Tales from an ex-director, is it really that tough at the top?

A company is its people. A hackneyed cliché perhaps, but one that is particularly relevant today with the workforce being remote. How do you ensure that your organisation treats employees fairly? Easy enough when business is good, but when recession bites hard decisions are required.

Our speaker Mark Warrender is Engineering Manager for Transport at Telent, leading multi-disciplinary teams delivering projects for the railways. His career journey has taken him from trainee to director, through start-ups to multi-national organisations working around the globe. In 2014 he took time off to ride a motorcycle from Australia to England before joining Telent to work on the railway.

In this webinar Mark will share his experience of being in a senior role prior to joining Telent, focussing on the key decisions required as director of a company during turbulent times. Through a period of rapid growth to the ultimate liquidation of company assets, Mark describes how tough it can be at the top.
