The 21st Annual North Eastern Railway Engineers’ Forum event will be held on Tuesday 19th September at York Engineer’s Triangle. The theme this year is ‘New Railway Technologies in the North’, and there are four different speakers from both industry and academia:


– Innovation in infrastructure management (Sky Lakey, Omnicom Engineering)

– Academic support for railway research (Professor Simon Iwnicki, Huddersfield University)

– A new power unit for Electro-Motive (Andrew Booth, E-MD Ltd)

– Vehicle braking for increased capacity (Jonathan Powell, Newcastle University)


The York Engineers’ Triangle venue is at YO26 4AB. Refreshments will be served from 17.30, and the Forum will commence at 18.00.

This event is free to attend and all are welcome. There is no need to book but pre-registration by email to is advisable.
