It is with great excitement that Young Rail Professionals (YRP) now reveals the date and location of their 2020 Annual Black Tie Awards Dinner and Dance!
The renowned event, next year in its 10th edition, will take place during the evening of Thursday 23rd April 2020 at the stunning Emirates Old Trafford Cricket Ground in Manchester.
Every year YRP hosts a dazzling black-tie dinner and awards ceremony, in order to showcase and celebrate the achievements of young professionals working throughout the industry, as well as to inspire them to become the future leaders of rail. The event is attended by some of the largest and most influential organisations and individuals from across the industry, and thus presents an incredible opportunity to network and socialise with like-minded professionals of all ages who understand the importance of supporting and investing in the future of the industry’s workforce.
This year will see the event held for the first time in the North West, which is a huge cause for celebration in the region for YRP. Manchester has a wealth of railway history and heritage, making it an ideal location for the dinner. As important as the history of rail in this region is its future. In the coming years, the North of England will see significant investment in the rail sector, some future programmes could make up the biggest transport interventions in the region since the industrial revolution.
By hosting the Annual Dinner in Manchester, YRP will play its part in showcasing the wealth of upcoming opportunities within the North West and wider region, where it hopes to attract a large number of skilled young people in order to deliver major upgrades to the rail network in the North of England.
David Westcough, YRP National Chair said:
“The Annual Dinner is Young Rail Professionals’ (YRP) flagship event which attracts hundreds of people from across the rail industry to celebrate the achievements of young people working within it. 2020 will see the 10th edition of the dinner and the first time it is hosted in the North West, where I am immensely excited for what will be another incredible evening!”
CPC Project Services LLP will once again be the exclusive sponsor for the event and YRP are extremely grateful for the support this organisation provides to us. Steve Mole, Managing Partner at CPC Project Services LLP said:

This key event is one of the largest of its kind in the UK, celebrating the achievements, commitment and passion of the next generation of professionals that are building their careers in rail. We’ve been part of the industry for nearly 30 years and this new decade has the potential to be one of the most exciting times for rail, particularly in the North of England, where the dinner in 2020 will take place”
