Young Rail Professionals (YRP) is pleased to announce that nominations are now open for the YRP Annual Dinner & Awards 2027.

Each year, the Awards celebrate the people, teams and organisations helping shape the future of the railway. From apprentices and early-career professionals through to mentors, volunteers, employers and industry leaders, the Awards recognise those making a meaningful contribution across rail.

The Annual Dinner & Awards brings together professionals from across the UK and Ireland to celebrate achievement, innovation and the people helping move the industry forward. Last year, we celebrated with over 400 people at Park Plaza in London. This year, we’ll once again be heading outside London (venue TBA).

Now is the time to recognise those making a difference, whether it is a colleague who consistently goes above and beyond, a mentor who has supported others, an innovative new idea, or an organisation investing in future talent.

This year’s categories include:

• Distinguished Service Award
• Innovation of the Year Award
• Operational Excellence Award
• Young Rail Personality of the Year
• Young Rail Professional of the Year
• Young Rail Professional Mentor of the Year
• Young Rail Professional Volunteer of the Year
• Young Rail Professional Employer of the Year (SME & Large Employer)
• Young Rail Professional Apprentice of the Year

We encourage nominations from across the industry. Nominees do not need to be YRP members (unless stated otherwise).

Submitting a nomination takes around 5-10 minutes and helps recognise the people, projects and organisations driving positive change across rail.

We look forward to celebrating the industry’s achievements and announcing our winners at the YRP Annual Dinner & Awards 2027.
