RAIL is partnering with Young Rail Professionals and Network Rail for a unique competition to mark Rail Week and Euston’s transformation to become the London terminus for HS2. Since construction in 1837 the station has continually evolved to meet the needs of the travelling public and other rail users. This is set to continue with the construction of additional platforms for the high-speed trains, and the redevelopment of the rest of Euston Station to make it fit for the 21st Century. Readers are invited to send an article which they have written which explores the past, present and future of the station.

To enter, email your article to railweek-enquiries@youngrailpro.com. The winner will have their article published in a future issue of RAIL and join two runners up for a behind the scenes tour of Euston from a member of the station team.

Entries need to be sent by no later than January 31 2021, where they will then be judged by a panel of industry experts:

Joe Hendry, Euston Station Manager

Paul Stephen, RAIL’s Features Editor

Bonnie Price, YRP National Vice-Chairwoman

Neil Sodden, Programme Manager, HS2 ONW

Amanda Barrow, Engineering Data Manager HS2 ONW
