Young Rail Professionals (YRP) and Network Rail are hugely excited to introduce a new collaborative annual initiative, the ‘Welcome to Rail Induction Programme!’ This is a new series of presentations, tours and Q&A’s develop to give new or early career railway professionals a broad, but detailed introduction to key aspects of the railway industry, how it works and what some of the upcoming opportunities and challenges may be. As well as these virtual events, we will also be hosting a series of in-person regional networking events early next year for attendees, speakers and guests to meet each other and develop new networks across the industry. This year’s inaugural programme comprises of seven virtual events, taking place between October and November 2021, and hosted by a star line-up of technical experts and senior leaders from across the industry sharing their extensive experience and knowledge with us. These events are free to attend and suitable for all, though with an emphasis towards colleagues starting, or early on, in their rail careers.
