In the light of COP26 being held in the UK, the Young Rail Professionals Yorkshire and North East Committee have brought together some really interesting speakers, to get a different perspective on how rail can contribute to the UK reducing its carbon footprint.

Liam Henderson from the Rail Innovation Group is going to discuss their recent project investigating using existing passenger rolling stock to deliver parcels to city centers in the ‘Parcels as Passengers’ project.

David Hibbs from Sustrans is going to be discussing looking beyond the train – how the railway can help create a low carbon transport system (or undermine it). Both will then be available for questions from the audience
