Ever wondered how trains are controlled? How delays on railways are prevented? What happens when disruption strikes?

Rail Operating Centres house all the signallers, ancillaries and operators for a specific region, from timetable planners through to fleet controllers. For Three Bridges Rail Operating Centre (TBROC) this allows them to control the railway routes from the London Victoria and London Bridge stations through to Brighton and the south coast, including large areas of both Sussex and Surrey.

YRP are delighted to announce that TBROC are offering an exciting tour of their key infrastructure and the facilities that allow them to meet the heavy demands of operating a railway. Only 14 spaces are up for grabs.

The evening will include a:
presentation on the ROC;
tour of the Signalling floor;
tour of the Control Room floor.

We will meet at 4:45pm outside Three Bridges station before making the short walk to Three Bridges ROC. The presentation and tour will kick off at 5:00pm and conclude at 8:00pm.

Ticket purchases will be charged at £2, so please only buy a ticket if you’re confident you can attend.  This event is non-refundable.  If you can no longer attend, please let us know so that your place can be reallocated.

As this tour can only be offered to a small number of members, register your interest now to avoid disappointment!
