At Shrewsbury we will board a class 97 hauled inspection saloon for a trip on the Cambrian Lines. The train will depart around 7:30, so you will need to be confident you can make it in time, or stay in Shrewsbury overnight. There will be no shortage of opportunities to learn about how ERTMS works from both onboard the train and in the signalling centre.

This is a unique experience very generously provided by the East Coast Digital Programme.

Tickets are very limited and must be booked on eventbrite.

Note that if you are booked on the Ffestiniog volunteering trip, you do not need to book a separate ticket for the ERTMS Learning Experience.
