YRP Heritage Social – Spa Valley Railway Real Ale and Cider Festival Join YRP for an afternoon of heritage trains, beer, and cider in the beautiful High Weald. Opened in 1866 by the London, Brighton, & South Coast Railway, the Spa Valley Railway has been restored and operated by a 100% volunteer workforce since closure by British Rail in 1985. The Spa Valley Railway now provides a 10-mile round trip, using some of the original vehicles operated on the line at the time of its closure. At Tunbridge Wells West station there will be live bands, 150 ales, and 30 ciders available in the unusual atmosphere of the engine shed. We'll aim to make a couple of visits to the engine shed throughout the evening, as well taking a few round trips on the trains themselves - complete with an onboard bar! Sign Up & Cost You must sign up on Eventbrite before 18th October for this event! The cost is £10 which pays for free travel on the Spa Valley Railway and £10 worth of beer (or soft drink) tokens.
