YRP Heritage Initiative are excited to announce a unique tour to the Isle of Man to experience the historic nationalised railways on the Island. The trip includes:
- Driving an Isle of Man Electric Railway tram car.
- Private train on the Isle of Man Steam Railway including cab rides. - Depot tours of both Derby Castle Electric Depot and Douglas Steam Works. - Evening meal social event. - Free time to explore the island. - Ferry to and from the Island - Travel card valid on all transport on the Island - Accommodation in Douglas (shared twin rooms with breakfast at the Best Western Palace Hotel) This trip is a great opportunity to be network with fellow Young Rail Professionals, be inspired by railway heritage, develop your skills through having a go driving a tram! Timings The trip will depart Liverpool around 17:00 on Thursday 18th April and return to Liverpool at around 18:00 on Monday 22nd April. You will need to arrange your own transport to Liverpool Lime Street Station. Cost Tickets cost £400 per person, payable by bank transfer once you have secured a place.
