Join YRP North West and the Manchester Transport Museum Society for a day volunteering at the Heaton Park Tramway in Manchester.

The MTMS operate a vintage tramway through Manchester’s Heaton Park, the biggest Park in Greater Manchester and the largest municipal park in all of Europe. From groundworks to painting, there’s sure to be a task you can support the team with as they prepare busily for their 2024 operating season.

Volunteers should meet in the park at the Middleton Road Depot from 10:30 for an 11:00 start. Anyone requiring parking should use the Sheepfoot Lane car park, postcode M25 2SW. Attendees can contribute as much or as little time as they wish, but the latest people will be on site is 16:30.

Due to the health and safety requirements on site, there is a minimum age requirement of 18+ and any PPE provided by the tramway must be worn.
