Great British Railways (GBR) is seeking to drive how large-scale railway programmes can be delivered more efficiently at pace and deliver an operational railway that delivers a truly unique experience for its customers through a series of outcomes that are focused on doing things better, faster, more cost effective and conducive to the environment. Connecting cities across the UK can be the catalyst to drive economic regeneration, growth and technological change to the surrounding areas and beyond. So how could we reimagine GBR as an operator and maintainer of its infrastructure and assets, such that its passengers truly become the centre of its operations and enjoy an enhanced customer experience like no other railway in Great Britain? What if a Tech Giant were to operate the railway? What would it look like? What could the customer experience really look like? This talk examines what the art of the possible could look like for GBR, how we might implement the approach and what the resultant benefits could look like.
