The presentation will give an overview of why the passenger train interface (PTI) is important at stations , what the key risks in this area are to passengers and the running of the railway and how railway projects including the Core Valley Lines (CVL) project has chosen to approach the problem.

Richard Wood is a Chartered Engineer and Technical Director for Track at Amey.

Richard's previous roles have included: Track design engineer working on projects across the UK. LU Design & Construction Engineer working on life extension projects. Maintenance Engineer working on the Network Rail infrastructure. Recent projects have included the delivery of track aspects of the Core Valley Lines, Crossrail, and Gospel Oak to Barking electrification.

Bydd y cyflwyniad yn rhoi trosolwg o pam mae rhyngwyneb teithwyr a threnau (Passenger Train Interface – PTI) yn bwysig mewn gorsafoedd, beth yw'r risgiau allweddol sy’n gysylltiedig ag ef, gan gynnwys y risgiau i deithwyr a'r risgiau o ran rhedeg y rheilffordd, a sut mae prosiectau rheilffordd, gan gynnwys prosiect Llinellau Craidd y Cymoedd (CVL), wedi penderfynu mynd i'r afael â'r broblem.

Mae Richard Wood yn Beiriannydd Siartredig ac yn Gyfarwyddwr Technegol ar gyfer Traciau yn Amey.

Mae rolau blaenorol Richard wedi cynnwys:

• Peiriannydd dylunio traciau, yn gweithio ar brosiectau ar draws y DU.

• Peiriannydd Dylunio ac Adeiladu LU, yn gweithio ar brosiectau ymestyn bywyd.

• Peiriannydd Cynnal a Chadw, yn gweithio ar seilwaith Network Rail.

Mae ei brosiectau diweddar wedi cynnwys cyflwyno agweddau trac ar Linellau Craidd y Cymoedd, Crossrail, a thrydaneiddio Gospel Oak i Barking.
