YRP L&SE and the Heritage Engagement initiative are pleased to present another Ruislip Lido Railway Volunteering Day! 
Join us on Saturday 25th January for a volunteering visit to the Ruislip Lido Railway, working with the PWay department on a track renewal. Located just 40 minutes from Central London, the Ruislip Lido Railway is Britain’s longest 12” gauge railway and has been operating since 1946. The railway is maintained and operated entirely by volunteers. In addition to helping with rolling stock maintenance, there will be an opportunity for YRP volunteers to look around the workshop and engine shed. Cost A £1 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your place at this event. Travel The group will meet at Baker Street Station (Metropolitan Line ticket hall) at 0930. Alternatively, you can make your own way to the railway and meet us at Woody Bay station at 1030. PPE/what to bring Please bring safety boots, a Hi-Viz vest/jacket, warm clothes, and lunch! You will also need a contactless, Oyster, or Zone 1-6 travelcard to get to Ruislip Lido Railway from Baker Street. Task specific PPE and training will be provided by Ruislip Lido Railway Volunteers.
