About the Heathrow Express: Heathrow Express is a non-franchised, non-subsidised private rail company which runs up to 150 services a day between London Paddington and Heathrow Airport. Launched in 1998 its regular non-stop service takes 15 minutes from London Paddington to Terminals 2 & 3 and six minutes more to Terminal 5. Each day, welcoming an average of 17,000 passengers on board its services. The Event: Aoife Considine, Business Lead and Director at Heathrow Express will be the main speaker of this event, joined by a panel of ex-TfL graduates – discussing their past ten years in the industry and their ten-year journey. All starting in a similar graduate scheme at the start of their careers, they will be delving into the different career paths that they went down and the opportunities that are open to graduates getting into the rail industry from Heathrow Express. This event is a great opportunity to gain insight into career development and the different paths to success. Doors open at 5:30pm for an informal networking session with refreshments before talk commencement at 6pm. Panellists: - Aoife Considine: Currently, Business Lead and Director at Heathrow Express, Aoife has over 10 years of mechanical engineering experience, working within the rail industry.
- Edward Goose: Starting his career with TfL as a Management Graduate, almost 10 years later, Edward is now Business Change & Strategy Lead at Heathrow Express.
- James Dawson: Now a Senior Rolling Stock Engineer for HS2, James started his career 10 years ago at TfL as a Graduate Mechanical Engineer
- Emma Costerton: Joining TfL over 10 years ago as an Electrical Engineer Graduate, Emma is now a Senior Engineering Leader with TfL, leading functional and delivery teams and Senior Electrical Engineering Rolling Stock Design in Renewals and Enhancements.
