Young Rail Professionals and CURC will be hosting a joint event where two speakers from the Republic of Ireland are coming over to Cambridge, where they will be speaking about their rail related experiences. In addition, we will also hear from our Head of Ireland James Shanley where he will speak about YRP Ireland’s successful launch and its plans going forward. Those attending the session from YRP will also be able to use this opportunity to network with CURC members!

  • Barry Kelly - Project Engineer at Atkins and formally Arup
  • Dan Hatter – City Planning & Environmental Policy Student : University College Dublin and Locomotive Fireman at the Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railways
  • James Shanley – YRP Head of Ireland

Following on from the talks, there will be a joint social at a nearby pub where we can network over a Guinness (other drinks are available too!).

Notes

The event will be fully accessible in which the room at the venue is on the ground floor.

If you’re coming by train, please allow at least 30 minutes if you’re walking from Cambridge station to Queens College.

If you are worried about travel, the last trains to London, Peterborough and Birmingham are well after the end of the talk.
