CIHT X YRP Cardiff Crossrail Event

Mark Casey is a Programme Manager for Transport for Wales. An engineer by background with over ten years’ experience of major projects in the highway and railway sectors. Currently working with Cardiff Council to deliver the first phase of Cardiff Crossrail.

Joe Reid works as an Associate at Arup and is experienced in developing business cases for significant transport infrastructure projects. He initially managed the development of the Full Business Case for the Cardiff Central Enhancements Programme, collaborating with a team of consultants to produce a WelTAG-compliant business case. He also managed the feasibility design and business case development for the Cardiff Central to Newport Road Corridor Level Study (a programme level business case). Additionally, Joe has been advising Transport for Wales (TfW) on active travel projects, bringing together an aligned delivery framework from the updated WelTAG 2024 Transport Business Case guidance, TfW project delivery plan of work, and the Welsh Government Active Travel Act fund guidance.

Mae Mark Casey yn Rheolwr Rhaglenni i Trafnidiaeth Cymru. Mae ganddo gefndir yn y maes peirianneg gyda dros ddeng mlynedd o brofiad o weithio ar brosiectau mawr yn y sectorau priffyrdd a rheilffyrdd. Ar hyn o bryd, mae’n gweithio gyda Chyngor Caerdydd i gyflawni cam cyntaf Cledrau Croesi Caerdydd.

Mae Joe Reid yn gweithio fel gweithiwr cyswllt yn Arup ac mae ganddo brofiad mewn datblygu achosion busnes ar gyfer prosiectau seilwaith trafnidiaeth sylweddol. I ddechrau, rheolodd y gwaith o ddatblygu'r Achos Busnes Llawn ar gyfer Cynllun Gwelliannau Caerdydd Canolog, gan gydweithio â thîm o ymgynghorwyr er mwyn creu achos busnes sy'n cydymffurfio â WelTAG. Roedd hefyd yn rheoli’r gwaith o asesu dichonoldeb y dyluniad a datblygu’r achos busnes ar gyfer yr Astudiaeth Lefel Coridor Ffordd o Gaerdydd i Gasnewydd (achos busnes ar lefel raglen). Yn ogystal â hyn, mae Joe wedi bod yn cynghori Trafnidiaeth Cymru (TrC) ar brosiectau teithio llesol, gan gyfuno’r fframwaith cyflawni wedi’i alinio â chanllawiau Achos Busnes Trafnidiaeth 2024 WelTAG sydd wedi’i ddiweddaru, yn ogystal â’r cynllun gwaith ar gyfer cyflawni prosiectau TrC a’r canllawiau ar gyfer cronfa Deddf Teithio Llesol Llywodraeth Cymru.
