Membership is free and open to anyone in their first 15 years of rail experience across the UK and Ireland. This includes students, apprentices, graduates and early career professionals. People interested in joining the rail industry are also welcome to join the network.
Membership is completely free, and we do not charge for any of our professional development events or ambassador activities. Our networking events are subsidised to ensure they are affordable and accessible to all our members.
You can register for membership through the sign-up page on our website. Once registered, you will receive updates about upcoming events and opportunities to get involved.
No. Many members join while studying or while exploring a future career in the rail industry. YRP welcomes anyone interested in learning more about the rail industry and connecting with professionals already working in it.
YRP runs a wide range of events including industry speaker sessions, technical talks, networking events, conferences and social gatherings. Events are organised nationally and by local committees across the UK and Ireland.
Yes. YRP is volunteer-led and opportunities to join committees are announced periodically throughout the year. Volunteering is a great way to build leadership experience, organise events and contribute to supporting the next generation of rail professionals.
YRP committees regularly work with organisations to host technical talks, site visits and industry insight events. If your organisation would like to collaborate on an event, please contact the relevant local committee through our Contact Us page. They will be happy to discuss potential opportunities.
YRP works with a number of organisations across the rail industry who support our activities through sponsorship. Sponsorship opportunities include supporting events, conferences and the annual YRP Dinner & Awards. If your organisation is interested in becoming a sponsor or learning more about partnership opportunities, please contact corporate.relations@youngrailpro.com.
