YRP Scotland will be bringing industry and career knowledge to students aged 16-18 across Scotland through our new mentorship programme. The programme is on track to launch on a trial basis with our first partner school in August/September 2021. Our mentors will work with allocated mentees for 1 hour a week over the course of a year, providing guidance and support on all things career based to help them excel in a rail career, from CVs to job applications and interviews. Meetings are planned to be online due to Covid-19 restrictions but may require in school visits. Could you be a mentor? Mentoring is a fantastic opportunity to promote rail as a great place to work and inspire and develop the next generation of rail professionals. If you are passionate about the industry, have at least 3 years’ experience of working in rail, and are based in Scotland, we would love to hear from you! Register your interest by emailing scotlandmentors@youngrailpro.com, telling us a little bit about yourself and what you can bring to a mentoring role. We are open to applications from across the sector - whether you work in engineering, operations, research or any of the other countless ‘railway’ roles! When you become a mentor, you will be issued with a pack of all the information you need. See more information on the poster below. Please share with your networks.
