The first ‘unofficial’ Young Rail Tour saw 38 Young Professionals from the UK Rail Industry take part in a 2-day study tour to the Netherlands. Collaborating with a group of young Dutch engineers, delegates took part in a number unique tours, presentations
and cultural activities. During the tour, we visited the cities of Utrecht and Amsterdam. Those that wished to could also extend the tour to take part in the Netherlands annual Kings Day celebrations!
The tour included;
A presentation and tour of the recently modernised Utrecht Central Station.
A presentation on The Uithof Line project.
A tour of the Netherlands Operationeel Control Centrum Rail (OCCR).
