The second ‘unofficial’ Young Rail Tour had an incredible 46 young UK rail professionals visit the city of Munich. As well as taking part in a number of rewarding tours, presentation a cultural exchanges, delegates were also given the option go visit
Springfest (Oktoberfest’s younger sister), and the beautiful Neuschwanstein Castle (the real world inspiration for the Disney Castle!)
The tour included;
A tour of ‘Stammstrecke 2’ a new parallel subway line being constructed through central Munich.
A historical walking tour of Munich.
A private tour of the Munich Transport Corporate (MVG) museum, learning the history of transport in Munich.
A visit to Siemen’s Munich Rail Service Centre.
A visit to DB Netz Bavarian Region Rail Control Centre.
An evening of networking at the Paulaner Brauhaus with German colleagues.
