Between July and August 2019 Young Rail Tours in collaboration with Young Rail Professionals hosted a group of 40 professionals visiting from CRRC Corporation, based out of China. The group were taking part in a future leadership course with the International
Business School Suzhou (affiliated to the University of Liverpool)
YRT worked closely with International Study Programmes (www.studyprograms.com)
based out of Prague to develop a comprehensive programme of site visits, presentations, cultural exchanges and networking events across seven UK. The delegates took part in over 40 different activities including talks from Tim Wood, Director Northern
Powerhouse, a tour of Crossrail’s new Paddington Station and Old Oak Common Depot. Visits to Scotrail’s Edinburgh Haymarket Depot and tours of the Glasgow Subway system.
YRT also coordinated four networking events across the country with members of YRP and Women in Rail, opening dialogue between UK and Chinese railway professionals.
