Last week, YRP London & South East hosted a technical session on integrating ETCS with charter and heritage trains, kindly hosted by AtkinsRรฉalis.
A big thank you to Ben Mason for leading the session. Ben shared insight from his work supporting the Charter & Heritage sector across the East Coast Digital Programme and The Transpennine Route Upgrade (TRU), offering a clear view of how digital signalling is being introduced to some of the oldest rolling stock still operating on the main line. The session focused on how this will work in practice, from fitting ETCS to heritage traction through to what it means for operations on the main line.
