Following the recent elections, Young Rail Professionals is now moving into the next phase of appointments across the National Executive and wider organisation. These roles provide an opportunity to contribute to how YRP is run and how its activity is delivered across the UK and Ireland.
A range of positions are available, with responsibilities varying from supporting specific initiatives through to leading national functions such as finance, communications, corporate relations, and events. All roles are voluntary and undertaken alongside full-time employment.
Taking on a role offers experience beyond a typical day-to-day position. Depending on the role, this may include:
* Contributing to organisational strategy and decision-making at a national level
* Managing budgets, campaigns, or projects with real accountability
* Working with corporate partners, sponsors, and senior industry stakeholders
* Leading or supporting committees and developing others through mentorship
* Shaping how YRP presents itself and delivers value to its members
These roles provide exposure to areas that are often only accessible at a more senior stage in a career, including governance, stakeholder management, and cross-industry collaboration.
Expressions of interest can be submitted via the following form: Expression of Interest Form
Roles will be reviewed and filled on a rolling basis and removed once appointed. Early applications are encouraged where there is a specific area of interest.

Young Rail Professionals is supported by its corporate members, whose contribution enables the organisation to deliver professional development opportunities across the UK and Ireland.
