East Midlands

The East Midlands sits at the heart of the UK rail industry, with a strong presence in engineering, manufacturing and rail research. The YRP East Midlands committee has built a diverse collaborative network to bring together young professionals from across the rail community. They deliver the #BeEnspired series with Enigma Seven Ltd and Enspired Consulting Ltd, partners with the Derby Railway Engineering Society (DRES) for events like ‘Let’s Debate Rail’ and works closely with Women in Rail East Midlands for large annual socials. Last year’s joint summer BBQ that welcomed over 70 attendees.

Alongside these partnerships, the committee creates opportunities for members to connect while exploring different parts of the rail industry with site visits, heritage railway events, and informal socials including summer hiking meetups.
